Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of the individuals involved in a fatal crash on Highway 212 just outside of Carver Thursday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Luallen Kettner, 73, of Chaska was the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed 47-year-old construction flagger Leo Kuisle, of Stewartville. Kuisle died at the scene of the crash. No injuries to Kettner have been reported.
The incident occurred just before 7 a.m. Thursday on Highway 212 near Mount Hope Road.
According to the State Patrol, the flagger was holding a stop sign when he was struck by Kettner's 2004 Ford Excursion SUV.
Traffic was diverted for three hours following the incident. Highway 212 was closed from new Co. Rd. 147 north to Co. Rd. 43 until 10 a.m. when Minnesota State Patrol wrapped up their site investigation.
