Magnifying Abilities participants are showcasing their artwork at the Chaska Community Center Art Gallery, June 9-July 3. Forty artists from 13 different communities exhibit paintings and drawings created at the Magnifying Abilities’ winter art class. An open house will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 19.
Magnifying Abilities is a social and recreational program for adults with disabilities. Art classes help the participants express their creativity, and teach them new skills.
Magnifying Abilities is based at the Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative in Chaska with participants from Scott and Carver counties.
Chaska residents to display their artwork are: Dan Warner, Barb Brandel, Michon Lanpher, Robert Knight, Scott Richardson, Heather Weigold, Lisa Ludowese, April Hardy, David Coffey, Arin Krohn and Chris Johnson.
