I live next door to the Miller's and I haven't seen Mary or Steve smile this much.

As a Vietnam veteran who's homecoming wasn't anything I want to talk about, it makes me feel really good to see the way our country welcomes these soldiers home because they are our neighbors.

Welcome home Luke!

We just received notice that Chaska resident, Spc. Luke B. Miller has returned home after a 22-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Miller is a member of the Minnesota National Guard unit - First Brigade Combat Team of the Thirty Fourth Infantry Division - Red Bulls.

It was nice to see a story

It was nice to see a story about a Chaska graduate currently serving in the military. I too have been in the US Navy since my graduation in 1992. I am a little disappointed by the headline of this article: "Soldier talks life on the Ike." Sailors are not soldiers. We are Sailors. Granted life has changed and a lot of us have been serving on the ground in the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we are still Sailors.
