Why doesn't anyone employ Disney to do their campaign ads anymore, as in the case of Dwight D. Eisenhower's 1952 campaign ad?

It's that time of year - when you can't turn on your television without being bombarded by campaign ads. What do you think of them? Do you think they be regulated? Are there ads you love? Hate? Which ads are the most effective? What about historically? How have ads changed over the years?
