I think my favorite part of Pahlin's speech was when Piper licked her hand and "smoothed" down little Trig's hair. A close second was the closeup of the guy who had the "I'm for the hot chick" sticker. Classy.

With the hurricane, the Republican convention was definitely off to a rocky start.

Joe Lieberman's Wednesday night speech also threw me off. I thought I might be watching the wrong convention when delegates began cheering Lieberman's reference to former President Bill Clinton.

However, the convention seems to have gained its footing, particularly following last night's speeches and Palin's strong showing.
