Bob Lau’s vineyard is well situated to demonstrate the first three years of vineyard establishment in Southern Minnesota. Bob has planted all University of Minnesota, cold-hardy varieties and will market to the growing Minnesota wine industry beginning this year. As we walk from 1st year vines to 3rd year vines, U of M Vineyard Manager, John Thull, will dis-cuss the various aspects of establishment including variety selection and management strategies.
